The date is Sunday July 31st next and the venue is the Ramada Georgetown Princess Hotel from 19:00hrs when the 3rd edition of Fitness Paradise Gym Expo is held. This event showcases in a competitive atmosphere, the members of Fitness Paradise competing for bragging rights as the best in the respective competition categories.
The athletes set to compete at that event were announced and presented at a simple appreciation ceremony held in honour of their counterparts who participated in the recently held Guyana Amateur Body Building and Fitness Federation (GABBFF) senior competition.
Traditionally the Fitness Paradise Gym organised event is contested by its members and its partner establishment Studio Body Shape of Paramaribo, Suriname. This year, while the Suriname establishment will not be able to field a team, there has been a large number of first-time contestants from the home gym who will be taking the stage.
These competitors will be in contention in the Miss Expo Best Legs, the Miss Expo Bikini, the Mr. Expo Hot Body, the Mr. Expo and Mr. Expo Best Abdominals.
At the appreciation ceremony which was attended by President of the GABBFF Mr. Keavon Bess, GABBFF Secretary Ms. Stacey McKinnon and Senior GABBFF judge Mr. Frank Tucker, the competing athletes were presented to cheers from their appreciative gym colleagues.
Competing in the female competitions will be Addis Castello, Delice Adonis, Adiola Frank, Sharon Mohan, Vanessa Small and Xamara Kippins.
The male competitors are Dwane Chung, Jamaul Tinnie, OnaiVasconcellos, Paul Meusa, Carlos Oviedo,Vickram Jhailu, Darrin Noble, Jaleel Weekes and Jaryl Moore.
The Guest Posers will be the GSABBFF Miss Bikini 2016 and Gym Expo 2015 Miss Bikini and Best Legs champion Kavita Ganpat along with the 2014 Hot Body runner-up Allain Vincent.
