Director for the event Sensei Nadia Rohoman, the delegate for the World United Karate Organization (WUKO) in Guyana, has been very active with other instructors in promoting Guyana karate and has such informed that the 4th Caribbean Cup Karate Championships (CC4) will be staged here in Guyana from October 22nd to 23rd.
Sensei Rohoman is a former Pan American Kumite and Kata champion and represented her country many times at international events.
The CC4 is the first major karate event to take place in Guyana and many clubs in the region are all excited and pledged attending. Among the countries attending are Trinidad and Tobago, USA, Bahamas, Panama, St. Lucia, St. Vincent, Haiti, Dominican Republic Grenada and Barbados.
WUKO-Guyana and USA Karate International (USAKI) will be co-hosting the event in collaboration with Trinidad and Tobago Karate Federation (TTKF).
