The decomposed remains of an unidentified man was discovered and removed from a back dam at Good Hope sometime Tuesday morning.
According to reports, residents living in the vicinity of Good Hope/Supenaam said that the man was not recognized. He was of East Indian origin.
The police said that the man appeared to be in his 40’s but his identity continues to baffle detectives who were called on the scene to remove the badly decomposed body. They didn’t discover any marks on the decomposed remains.
Several months ago, a Huis’t Diren farmer was discovered dead in Supenaam Creek. The man who was not married went missing for several days. His dead remains were discovered in a canal.
An autopsy revealed that the man died by drowning. Several weeks ago, a 52-year-old farmer living at Lima Sands was found dead in a rice field at Lima Sands. The farmer apparently suffered an attack of epilepsy and died. His family discovered his remains three days later.
