Dear Editor,
Mr. Alves wrote a letter dated 10-20-16 accusing Mr. Donald Trump’s wife of plagiarism, to which he has the right to share his opinion. That being said, I too, have the right to respond when the whole truth is not divulged with your readers. It should be noted that Mrs Trump simply joined the likes of Hillary Clinton, Vice President Joe Biden, Mrs. Michelle Obama and President Barack Obama, in lifting lines (plagiarism) from other people.
Had Mr. Alves done a proper research before he jumped the gun, he would have discovered that Vice President Joe Biden was accused of plagiarism which brought down his 1988 Presidential campaign, and he lost. It was further discovered that Biden committed plagiarism when he was attending Law School. Michelle Obama in 2008 lifted lines for her DNC Speech from the book “Rules for Radicals”, written by Saul Alinsky (President Obama’s radical hero). Hillary Clinton stole lines in her 2008 campaign from then Senator John Edwards. She again was recently accused by the Bernie Sanders campaign of stealing lines from Bernie. In his 2008 Presidential campaign, Barack Obama plagiarized two lines in his stump speech from Massachusetts Governor, Deval Patrick. If my intuition is correct and Malcom Alves does reside in the US, his disdain for Donald Trump will see him moving back to Guyana, should Trump win the Presidency.
