Rain had the final say in the Caribbean Premier League T20 fixture between the Jamaica Tallawahs and Barbados Tridents last night at the Kensington Oval.
The game was reduced to 12 overs after a lengthy delay and the Tallawahs were 116-2 off 10 overs, batting first. Chris Gayle and Chadwick Walton added 47 for the opening stand before Walton was caught of Shoaib Malik for 25 with five fours. Gayle provided some entertainment, hitting two fours and five sixes in an unbeaten 47 off 20 balls. Kumar Sangakkara made 25 before he was bowled by Ravi Rampaul while Rovman Powell was not out on six when the rain came forcing the teams to share the points (one each). Rampaul had 1-25 and Malik 1-31.
