Woman dies after struck by car

A 30-year-old woman was killed at about 19:20 hrs yesterday after being struck by a car on the Vryheid’s Lust Public Road, East Coast Demerara.

Police said that the driver was travelling along the northern side of the roadway when Singh, of 75 Better Hope East Coast Demerara, attempted to cross and was struck by the vehicle.

She was taken to the Georgetown Public Hospital where she was pronounced dead on arrival..
