Dear Editor;
Government contracts can be seen given out to strange contractors who firstly are not Barticians, and secondly do not contribute anything towards the development of Bartica.
They are fully staffed with workers, machines and food items and just certain kinds of people can be seen working on the projects; not even one local cousin could be seen.
Government has a bitumen plant at Garden of Eden that supplies most of the contractors with materials to execute their road works, so why Government cannot set up a similar plant of a smaller scale in Bartica to supply contractors with materials rather than giving private persons to set up at Bartica?
If government sets up a plant here and train Barticians to operate, this will allow employment for some of our youths in Bartica who mostly are early school leavers. It is a means of creating employment for the Town and of course will guarantee our roads will be properly maintained.
Come on Mr. President, we have placed our confidence in your government; show us that your words are not just wind, look into to these matters, they are growing sour real fast. Where all of these aliens coming from that are trying to take over our new town? This is not the message we received when you stood before us at the podium.
