The Rising Sun Turf Club has planned a one day horse race meet at its facility next Sunday, July 17 and Turfites are guaranteed of a day of competitive racing.
There are 5 potentially exciting races with the feature attraction between horses in the G3 & Lower over a one mile distance for a top prize of $300,000.
The other respective places receive $150,000, $75,000 and $38,000.
The J & Lower event will be contested over a distance of 6 furlongs with a top prize of $160,000. The 2nd place receives $80,000, while the 3rd and 4th place finishers win $40,000 and $20,000 respectively.
Jockeys will also contest for lucrative awards in the L & Lower over 5 furlongs, the 3 years old Trial over 2 furlongs and the K & Lower over a distance of 6 furlongs.
Notable horses competing are ‘She’s so Special,’ Bird Man,’ ‘Isn’t She Charming,’ ‘Atlantic Storm’ and ‘Big Man Boss.’ The event is being conducted under the aegis of the Guyana Horse Racing Association and all rules are applicable.
Closing date for entries is today and all are asked to take note as the organizers would not be accommodating late entries.
