Marriott’s Richard E. Kasofsky (centre) and Jonathan Morgan drop the first bottles to be recycled into the bin donated by Ricky Lucknauth (left) of Clear Waters.
The Marriott Hotel in Guyana last week joined with Clear Waters of Lot 81 and 82 Industrial Site, Eccles to promote recycling of their plastic bottles and to aid with the Green Guyana campaign.
The water distribution company has taken the forefront, locally, to promote recycling of their plastic bottles.
Richard E. Kasofsky, Director of Sales and Marketing and Jonathan Morgan, Senior Purchasing Supervisor, joined with Clear Waters’ Ricky Lucknauth to highlight their partnership. Kasofsky noted that the Marriott was pleased to be associated with cleaning and keeping the environment clean. It was a great step that was taken by Clear Waters to push the recycling drive and they are proud to be associated.
Lucknauth presented a recycling bin to the hotel to be used in the drive. The hotel is a subscriber to Clear Waters, which is used as their main brand and has gone down well with guests.
Lucknauth said that his company is committed to not just providing a quality service but also to have recycling bins at strategic locations to promote their recycling drive in Guyana.
Marriott is the first location for the recycling bin, which will be cleared weekly. Others are planned around the city and other areas.
