Barbados defeated Jamaica by eight wickets when the Regional Women’s Supoer 50 tournament continued yesterday.
Batting first, Jamaica were sent packing for 47 in 19 overs at Enmore. No batter managed it into double figures with the highest score coming from Rashada Williams who got eight. Extras contributed 13 as Deandre Dottin claimed 4-13, while Shamilia Connell had 3-11 and Shakera Selman 2-18.
Jamaica responded with 50-2 in 11.5 overs. Dottin scored 19 not out to earn the player of the match award while Shaquana Quintine made 17 and Hayley Matthews 12.
The other matches that were scheduled for Enterprise between Guyana and Trinidad & Tobago and Everest between Windwards and Leewards were abandoned due to wet conditions caused by rain.
