Flooding in No. 28 (Trafalgar) Village, West Coast Berbice, Region Five has residents calling on the authorities to urgently address what they have been calling an on and off situation.
According to residents, the last incidence of flooding has left water on the land for the past few days. They stated that pumps were present for approximately two weeks when the waters were especially high but now that these pumps are no longer there, they are feeling the effects and are calling on the authorities to pay urgent attention to their cries.
Last month, when the flooding was at its highest throughout Region Five, the Mahaica/Mahaicony/ Abary Agricultural Development Association intervened.
