Toddler drowns in well near home in Lethem

A toddler lost her life yesterday after she fell into a well near her home and drowned.
Dead is Julia Kennedy of  Lethem Central Rupununi. She was one month shy of her third birthday.
Kennedy’s mother had gone in search of her after noticing that the child was missing for a while.
Her worst fears were confirmed when the mother found her child lying motionless in the seven feet well. The young child was rushed to the Lethem Public Hospital but was pronounced dead on arrival.
The matter has since been reported to the Lethem Police Station and investigations are ongoing.
