A little goes a long way’’, was what we demonstrated on June 19, last, when we visited Uncle Eddie’s Home to serve the residents there a scrumptious lunch as part of Scotia bank, Robb Street, giving back on Father’s Day.
“I know we all felt happy to do our little part in making someone else’s day better, and so here’s a big thank you for taking the time out on your Sunday to be part of this charity event,” the organizers said.
The inmates were appreciative. One gentleman whistled, another played several tunes on his harmonica and another entertained with tales of his youthful days which were many as he has celebrated his 97th year on this earth.
The bank staff pledged, “Let’s continue to brighten the lives of the less fortunate in the communities!!”
