The National Library benefitted from a donation of 17 gallons of white paint from Torginol Paints, the flag ship company of the Continental Group of companies on June 10.
Avalon Jagnandan, the Marketing and Sales Manager of the Continental group, was on hand to present the paint to the Chairman of the National Library board.
Jagnandan stated that when board members approached him about a donation towards the restoration of the National library, the Continental group were very “happy and pleased to make the donation to the National Library.”
He maintained that the group thought it part of their “corporate responsibility” to contribute to the development and sustainability of Guyana’s youth and education. He said that he hoped the paint would give the National Library a beautiful facelift.
