Dear Editor,
Dear President Granger, it’s no secret that you have called on your party’s supporters to vote for individuals (in the Local Government Elections) who have contacts with people in high offices.
Well, UNFORTUNATELY they’ve listened to your desperate call. Today, your party is in control of most of the Municipalities. Yet, it remains business as usual. With nepotism, and corruption seem to be the order of the day. And, that’s apart from Linden, New Amsterdam, and Georgetown municipalities being virtually BROKE.
In the case of Georgetown, there seems to be a lack of TRANSPARENCY, democracy, and particularly blatant disregard for the people who expected better from your leadership.
Mr. President, if you continue to seemingly condone corruption, nepotism, and dictatorial actions by a Town Clerk who obviously has no regards for elected councilors. Then, residents of Georgetown should conclude that you are also part of the problem. The buck stops with you, Mr. President. It’s time for serious action, and real Local Government Reforms. Stop the parking meter contract, and the disrespect of vendors.
