Founder and Grandmaster of the Little Diamond International Martial Arts Academy (LDIMAA) Abdool Nazim Yassim has reported that their latest branch at St. Cuthbert’s Mission, The Pakuri Martial Arts Academy is up and running.
A press release from the club has states that the students are advancing in the discipline and martial arts training. Ten (10) of the 17 students are scheduled to undergo their first exam on June 19 next.
The club said that Shihan Nazim has expressed gratitude to Instructor Ryan for his efforts with the older and senior members of the community with the Taiji class that he has commenced.
The members of this class, mostly females, have expressed pleasure with this discipline as they enjoy the training which is fun filled even as they learn the importance about being healthy.
This year the LDIMAA 14th annual Martial Arts Training Camp will be held at St. Cuthbert’s Mission, July 17 – 24, 2016 and will attract over 50 students from Guyana and Suriname. At this Camp students would be preparing to compete at the Shuriken International Karate Championships on August 14th in Suriname.
This would be the first time that there would be students from another country attending the LDIMAA training camp. Shihan Nazim is looking forward to a very successful camp and is encouraging the business community to support in this venture.
