Eagles FC Captain Javair Smith being presented with winners’ trophy by UDFA President, Sharma Solomon.
League Championship on Wednesday last at the Mecca of the sport in the Bauxite Mining Town, Mackenzie Sports Club ground.
Brewley’s championship goal came as a result of a through ball from one of his teammates which he collected in the 18 yards box and made no mistake in hammering a well directed shot past Panther’s goalkeeper Cleveland Junas.
Up to that point it was a doing dong battle between the sides in a fiercely fought match befitting a final.
Brewley received valuable support from his Captain Javair Smith who controlled the play from midfield as the defenders were firmly led by Nicholas Gentle. Amelia’s Ward Panthers did have some good moments but were unable to convert their opportunities.
Breweley copped the Most Valuable Player award as Netrockers’ Joel Isaacs ended as the Highest Goal Scorer of the tournament with 12 goals. Brewley had 7.
Trophies were donated by the Petra Organisation while tickets for the final day were bought by Bosai and Dave and Celena Furniture Store to allow 500 to witness the final. UDFA President Sharma Solomon presented the trophies to the winners which included replicas.
Milerock took the third place prize.
