After an exciting night of action on Monday, the Petra Organisation-organisaed Ministry of Health Soft Shoe Football Competition resumes tomorrow evening with six more matches, at the Parde ground on Middle and
Carmichael Streets, starting from 19:00 hrs.
Played under the ‘Stop Gender-based Violence’ theme, the opening fixture is a matchup between undefeated teams Campbellville and Channel-9 Warriors and this game will be followed by the clash that features Back Circle versus West Back Road.
Leopold Street and North Ruimveldt square off in the third encounter, before defending champs Sparta Boss take on Holmes Street of Tiger Bay.
Queen Street of Tiger Bay tackle Ministry of Health, before Kitty go up against Globe Yard in the final fixture of the evening.
Winner of the event will receive $300,000 and the Championship trophy, while second, third and fourth placed teams take home $200,000, $100,000 and $50,000 respectively.
Other sponsors of the event include GTT, Lucky Dollar, Nigel Supermarket, Junior’s Jewellery, Star Party Rentals and 2-J’s General Store.
Meanwhile, play in the competition continues on Sunday at the Ministry of Health ground on Brickdam and Vlissingen Road.
