Cops hunt ‘key player’ in KN grenade attack

Detectives are convinced that very soon they will be able to find the mastermind behind the recent grenade attack on Kaieteur News.
At this point, the cops are grilling 11 persons, who were fingered by each other. They are

all giving conflicting statements.
Most of those persons have identified one key player, who the police believe will answer all their questions once he is apprehended.
Commander of ‘A’ Division, Clifton Hicken said that they went to the court for an extension of the 72 hours.
“We are digging as deep as we can to get to the bottom of this,” the Commander revealed.
Up to press time, the police were said to be hunting for the “main man.”
The first person who was taken into custody was a 19-year-old driver. He had reported that the car he was driving was hijacked.
That car was later found abandoned on Norton Street and Mandela Avenue. Detectives were to confirm that it was that same vehicle that was used to throw the grenade under the vehicle of this newspaper’s publisher, Glenn Lall last Saturday.
The driver has since changed his story and has provided the police with the names of persons who had access to the car.

Mr. Lall’s vehicle, which was parked on the western side of Saffon Street. Staffers were at the time participating in a wake for KN’s Assistant Editor, Dale Andrews.
Thinking at first that someone had shattered one of the windows, the staffer checked the vehicle, but observed no damage. However, on checking the front of the vehicle, the staffer spotted the grenade lying near one of the front tyres.
The police were immediately notified.
Video footage from a Kaieteur News CCTV camera shows the grey-coloured vehicle, which is heading north, slowing as it approaches Mr. Lall’s vehicle. The occupants then accelerate after the device is thrown.
According to a source, the grenade differs from those that are used by the Guyana Defence Force.
Kaieteur News was told that the grenades in stock at the army have detonators that can be removed.
The grenade that was thrown outside Kaieteur News reportedly had a built-in detonator, which necessitated the experts having to explode the device.
Experts have said that it was nothing short of “a miracle” that the device didn’t explode when it was thrown.
When fragmentation grenades explode, the fragments are hurled with great force in different directions.
The source also said that the explosion would not have only caused extensive damage to Mr. Lall’s vehicle, but could have also triggered explosions to other passing vehicles.

There is no doubt that the church is praying for this nation. We are convinced that there has been an intensive collaboration with demonic forces during the last fifty years. We are now stronger and wiser and know that we are not battling against flesh and blood. Therefore we are praying in groups and networking our prayers and fastings. We bring each and every matter under intense prayer. We did say when this came out that we were praying that the perpetrators would be discovered and we continue to pray for such, We are not dealing with race or political group we are conscientiously dealing with the prince demon behind this issue and it is only the exposure of the human being that allowed that entity to possess his mind and body to try such an act. Yes it is a miracle and we continue to pray and see Guyana move into the supernatural realm.
