Six teams are expected do battle in the New York Warm up Cup which will be played
on June 18, 25 and 26.
The competition is in preparation of the Independence Cup that is slated to be held from July 1-3 in New York. The softball contest is an Over-40 event which will be played at the Carifesta Sports Complex, Carifesta Avenue.
The winning team will walk away with cash prize of $100,000 while runner up will pocket $50,000. These prizes are sponsored by Trophy Stall and Dave’s Groceries and Variety Store of Sixth and Albert Street, Queenstown.
Guyana Softball Cup champions, Regal Masters and Albion have already registered.
Teams desirous of entering the competition are asked to register soonest since there are only four spots available. Participants can contact Samuel Kingston on telephone number 6195103 for more details on registration.
