The man who raped a mother of two in her Supenaam home was arrested almost four days after the incident. Charges against him will be levelled soon.
The man, Troy Richards, was taken to the police by his family, but he made good his escape which prompted a crew from the community to organise a search for him.
In the end the Supenaam man was caught and handed over to the police.
Some time Friday night last, the woman was raped moments after she ventured outside of her house to use the bathroom. The young mother of two believed that she was trailed. Richards was seen standing over her with a knife moments after she ventured into her house and into her bedroon.
The man proceeded to warn the frightened woman by pointing a knife to get neck, threatening her not to scream. He then proceeded to raped her.
After the incident, the woman informed police officers at the Suddie police station before visiting the Suddie public hospital where she was admitted for treatment and a cut she sustained to her thumb in attempting to remove the knife that Richards held to her neck.
