Buddy’s Gym & Sports Masseuse Kathleen Paul support
Athletes are all focused on this weekend’s Guyana Amateur Powerlifting Federation (GAPF) Annual Claude Charles Memorial / Intermediate and Masters Competitions as are many corporate entities.
Helping to provide the necessary funding to ensure the athletes are rewarded on Sunday at the Critchlow Labour College, Woolford Avenue are Buddy’s Gym and Sports Masseuse Ms. Kathleen Paul who is located in Crown Street, Queenstown, the latest to lend valuable support apart from main sponsor, Fitness Express.
According to a release from the federation, Buddy’s has also shown interest in continued collaborations with the entity with regards to fitness events as well as being the Gym of Guyana’s National Team which is currently preparing for the 14th IPF / NAPF Regional Powerlifting Championships.
The federation is informing that the registration process for Sunday is complete and patrons can look forward to an action packed day of lifting from Guyana’s veteran lifters, the likes of Winston ‘Little Master’ Stoby, ‘Big’ John Edwards and Farouk Abdool who will be competing in the Masters category.
The upcoming strongmen and women will be testing each other in the Intermediate division where Sub Junior Power House Romario Gonsalves of Life Gym and Novices Best Lifter Arif Imamdeen of Total Fitness Gym in Berbice will battle each other for top honours.
Carlos Peterson the Best Lifter in the Raw (Unequipped) category is expected to repeat and likely better his previous performances. The women in attendance will not be left out of the limelight and they have promised to put in some impressive performances.
Veteran bodybuilder Nadina Taharally of Interline Fitness, Lisa Oudit and Novices Female Best Lifter Melissa Tucker of RIP HIT Fitness are some of the ladies that will be on show this Sunday.
Athletes are reminded that the weigh-in and equipment inspection will commence at 07:00hrs and concluded at 09:00hrs; there will be no late weigh-ins. Competition time is 10:30hrs sharp; an entrance fee of $500 will be charged while novelty events involving patrons for prizes compliments of the main sponsor, Fitness Express will be done.
