“Protect the enchanted Guyana for present and future generations” should be the watchwords for all Guyanese.
The Cavaliers and Sports Club in a message to mark World Environment Day on Sunday June 5th2016, and Guyana Environment Week has called on all Guyanese to rededicate themselves to observe practices of environmental protection and to become conscious of their individual roles.
”The environment is all humanity’s concern, as it transcends National boundaries, ideological and parochial emotionalism”.
The CS&TC,s message emphasized that all Guyanese must contribute to its protection as it continues to provide for our needs.
“There is a need for increased National awareness on environment issues, for its imperative since it embraces the very quality of our lifestyles”.
The Cavaliers Sports and Tour Club stated that every Guyanese must see the question of the environment in personal terms and translate it a manner that foster discipline in Schools, homes, workplaces and communities.
The CS&TC’s message also pointed out that man cannot afford to neglect the environment for it is an integral part of our very existence. Neglect it and great harm will follow.
“Every Guyanese are part of the environment and must become fully aware of the contributions they could make to protect it. The environment is real and needs to be protected.”
The Cavaliers Sports and Tour Club are affiliated to the Environmental Protection Agency since August 2002 and over the years hosted a number of events country wide.
