Supenaam residents in particular are becoming worried about the fate of other vulnerable women now that the man who brutally raped a young Supenaam mother of two remains at large. Residents have concluded that the individual in question is a dangerous character to the community. They are appalled at the fact that the police are still unable to apprehend and charge the man.
The mother of two who was physically attacked and raped Friday night was released on Monday from the Suddie Public Hospital, after she was admitted and treated for a cut she sustained while attempting to ward off a knife which was placed to her throat by the rapist.
According to the woman, she had ventured into her yard to use the bathroom when she was attacked and raped by a man who had frequented her shop on several occasions.
The woman believed that she was being trailed and even threatened by the rapist. She said that she recognized the man since he called out her name and warned her not to scream.
After the brutal incident, police at the Suddie Police Station were alerted. Investigations proceeded but to date, the rapist is still on the prowl much to the annoyance of residents.
