De jubilee done and nuff people smiling. All who was talking got to shut dem mouth because dem and all been in de spirit. If anybody believe that Guyanese ain’t got brains dem should see how people put demself in de way to mek money.
Usually when people come pun vacation dem does have to go to America Street because dem believe that all who come was reading about how people does get rob. Dem boys know that nobody didn’t get rob fuh de time dem been in de country. And dem change money. De cambio dealers set up right outside all dem hotel.
People wake up and when dem come downstairs dem didn’t have to worry about wheh dem had to go to change money. And dem get de best rates.
Dem boys seh that when dem big country talk bout de value of money dem does use things like trade and de money market. Guyana does talk bout cocaine. When cocaine flowing, de exchange rate does drop. That mean de foreign currency does get more cheap.
When Soulja Bai come into office, all of a sudden dem had plenty busts. Nuff people find that dem things getting pull in. It happen so often that de foreign money get more expensive. People got to spend more on foreign currency.
This time people didn’t have to think bout drugs. So many people come in that de foreign currency get cheap.
De only people who get vex is dem who collect a raise and went to change de money. Dem get less and dem cuss.
De taxi people mek a solid raise too. Whole of last week dem refuse to pick up people who live in this country. Dem was charging de comebackees two time wah dem was charging de locals. Dem boys seh that de foreigners gone and dem taxi drivers got to come right back down.
And when people talk how de whole jubilee didn’t have no crime dem got to understand that de criminals had to wuk round de clock. De police been in barracks and if some of dem did want to come pun de road fuh a hustle dem couldn’t move a muscle. That is why dem boys now saying that it might be a good thing to keep de police in lying. Robberies will go down.
