A 44-year-old motorcyclist was killed in an accident around 19:30 hrs on Thursday while he was on his

The dead man has been identified as Karamchand Singh, a father of two, of Lot 570 Block 8 Mon Repos, East Coast Demerara (ECD).
According to reports, Singh was heading home when he collided with a car on the East Coast Demerara (ECD) Public Road in the vicinity of Good Hope.
This newspaper was told that the father of two was under the influence of alcohol when the accident occurred.
Although he left home wearing a helmet, he was not wearing one at the time of the accident.
Singh was pronounced dead on arrival at the Georgetown Public Hospital Corporation (GPHC).
His daughter, Sarah Singh, explained that her father left home around 18:30 hrs on Thursday to attend a cousin’s birthday party in Lusignan, a few villages from their home.
“He got ready and he left to go to the party. He spent an hour or two there and when he was coming home back, he was involved in the accident,” the younger Singh stated.
The young lady could not say what caused the accident but explained that around 20:00 hrs, someone called their phone and informed them that the father of two was involved in an accident and he was taken to the GPHC.
“By the time we reached to the hospital, he was already dead and was bleeding,” Sarah recalled.
A post mortem examination performed on Singh’s remains yesterday by Government Pathologist, Dr. Nehaul Singh, revealed that the man died as a result of multiple internal injuries.
