The Guyana Relief Council (GRC) yesterday assisted 11 families whose homes were destroyed
Hampers were donated by the Guyana Relief Council, while one woman received a cheque for assistance in the rebuilding of her home.
by fire. The persons received hampers, while one of them collected a cheque for building materials, at the GRC’s Public Road, River View Ruimveldt office.
The families were represented by Sandra John of Mocha Arcadia; Rondell Holder of Laing Avenue; Tamika Halley of Kitty; Bethia Persaud also from Kitty; Yonika Munroe of Patentia; Abigail Riddle (East Bank Berbice); June Anne Bess (Cummings Park); Joyce Beaton (Rose Hall); Bhanmatie Dookie (West Coast Demerara); Omaeeli Chester (Tucville) and Nicola Junor, also from Tucville.
From January of this year to date, GRC has assisted 32 families that were affected by fire and 16 families that are on welfare.
