During yesterday’s session at the National Procurement and Tender Administration Board, there was a contract out for the reconstruction of the North Eastern Dam at the East Demerara Water Conservancy. Several firms put in multi-million-dollar bids. The engineer’s estimate was $424.4M.
There was also a retender for attendant services at the Georgetown Public Hospital Corporation (GPHC).
In addition, bids were announced to construct a Cell No. 1 and leachate management system at Haags Bosch Sanitary Landfill. This contract was under the Ministry of Communities.
Meanwhile, there were several supply contracts under the Ministry of Public Health. The first one was for the supply of histoplasmosis (an infection caused by breathing in the spores of fungus) supplies.
There was also a contract for the supply of pharmaceutical, medical and laboratory consumables and field materials.
In addition, there was a contract for the provision of laboratory supplies and general consumables for the Ministry.
The Pesticides and Toxic Chemicals Control Board also had a tender out for the supply, delivery, installation and testing of liquid chromatography coupled with mass spectrometry (MS/MS System).
There was also a contract to extend the Guyana Elections Commission (GECOM) bond located at 41 High and Cowan Streets, Kingston, Georgetown.
There were three contracts under the Ministry of Communities which targeted works in Regions nine and three. All were retenders. The first one was for the construction of a benab, fence and sanitary block and to infill the Mayflower playground at Culvert City, Lethem, Region nine. The engineer’s estimate was $12M.
There was also a contract to construct third Cross Street Fellowship, West Coast Demerara, Region Number three.
