Regal Sports to sponsor Masters’ Football tourney in Georgetown
Regal Sports of 69 Seaforth Street, Campbellville has committed to sponsor a masters (over 40) football tournament in Georgetown in the latter half of June.

The tournament which is being organised by Georgetown Masters will see Georgetown, Linden, Berbice and West Demerara battling for supremacy at the Georgetown Football Club.
Former National Captain Earl O’ Neil and one of Guyana’s leading goal scorers Dion Barnwell are expected to appear for the city side while former national forward Collie Hercules and Ryan Joseph will head the Linden team. West Demerara will have Kevin Archer and Sherwin Knights while Adrian Forde and Sherwin Forde will appear for Berbice.
The winning team will take home a trophy and $50,000 and the runner up a trophy and $25,000. There will also added attractions for the family (including a well stock bar) while Guyana Softball Cup defending champions Regal will play a select XI in a 10/10 exhibition game at the said venue before the final.
Meanwhile, the organisers will be hosting a fitness run at GNIC SC on Thursday starting at 10:00hrs. The even is open to the public.
