The second edition of the Annual Petra Organisation-organised Soft Shoe Football Competition which is being sponsored by the Ministry of Health under the ‘Stop Gender-based Violence’ theme will open tomorrow evening, at the Ministry of Health ground on Brickdam & Vlissingen Road.
This is according to Petra Organisation Co-Director Troy Mendonca, who spoke to Kaieteur Sport via telephone yesterday.
Mendonca said due to circumstances beyond their control, the tournament which was scheduled to commence today had to be pushed back for tomorrow’s start.
Six matches are carded for the night with defending champion Sparta Boss lined up to take on California Square in the final encounter of the evening.

19:45 hrs Queen Street OF Tiger Bay tackles Broad Street
20:30 hrs Sophia go up against Hope Street of Tiger Bay

21:45 hrs Bent Street engages Stevedore Housing Scheme
22:30 hrs Sparta Boss square off against California Square
Meanwhile, the next round of matches will be played on May 30, at the Western Tigers ground in West Ruimveldt.
