Guyana’s ‘Green Machine’ will spring into action today when they face Jamaica in the Rugby America’s North (RAN) 15s matchup, at the National Park, starting from 16:00hrs.
The Guyanese are coming off an impressive 48-17 showing in their previous encounter against Barbados, while Jamaica lost to defending champions Trinidad and Tobago.
Earlier in a press briefing, both captains Richard Staglon (Guyana) and Hubert Thomas (Jamaica) had expressed confidence on winning and local fans are being urged to come out and provide the usual support for the ‘Green machine’ as they seek to advance to the next stage of the competition.
The Guyana squad is: Jason Tyrell, Rondel McArthur, Rickford Cummings, Kevon David, Jose Felicien, Dwayne Schroeder, Jamal Angus, Richard Staglon (Captain), Ceon Kitt, Delroy Gordon, Fabian Joseph, Toby David, Ryan Gonsalve, Peabo Hamilton, Dane Parks, Lancelot Adonis, Triton Brathwaite, Avery Corbin, Ronald Mayers, Patrick King, Leon Greaves, Godfrey Broomes, Caudius Butts.
Reserves are: Blaze Bailey, Osie Mckenzie and Allen Crawford.
The Jamaica squad is: Romaen Campbell, Omar Roachie, Jones Mab, Orien Smith, Dushane Alford
