Fifty four-year-old Mark Greaves was earlier this week committed to stand trial in the High Court for the
murder of Owen Fredericks last year Christmas Day in Albouystown.
On Tuesday, Chief Magistrate Ann McLennan informed the accused that a prima facie case was made out against him, for the capital offence based on evidence led by Police Prosecutor, Neville Jeffers.
During the trial, Greaves was unrepresented by an attorney.
According to reports, Fredericks, also known as Fluffy, who hails from Berbice, was stabbed to death by the accused. He reportedly received stabbed wounds to his chest and neck and was pronounced dead on arrival at the Georgetown Public Hospital.
