Spartons chalked up 48 games to win the final of the Mark Wiltshire/Turning Point four-game dominoes tournament which was contested recently at Meadowbrook.
Rage marked 42 games to claim the runner up spot, while Execudos placed third on 38 games. Spartons were led by Colin Duncan and Clarence Whitehead with eleven and nine games respectively, while Ronald Beharry scored 11 and Ron Callendar nine for Rage.
Spartons were also successful in the semi final encounter with 45 games ahead of Rage 41 and In-time 34. Linden Bowman and Whitehead got 11 games apiece for the winners while Shawn Morgan made 10 and Mark Welch nine for Rage.
Meanwhile, Mark Wiltshire will be hosting a two-in-one-out six-game competition starting on Monday at 19:30hrs at Dynasty. The playoffs will be held on Saturday and Sunday at Gauling Place, South Ruimveldt.
Entrance fee is $10,000 and the winning team will take home a trophy and $150,000, runner up a trophy and $75,000 and third place $40,000.
One re-entry will be allowed and all GDA rules will be in effect. The competition is being sponsored by Faye Joseph and Spartons Dominoes team. Teams can contact Wiltshire on 665 5855 for more information.
