Squatting is something that does mek people believe that dem got a right to do anything. People see land and decide that is dem birthright, suh dem run and build. Give a man an inch and he gun tek a mile. Some of de people not only tek fuh demself, dem also tek land fuh dem children and dem friend.
Is not only poor people squat. Some people who got money to mind dem in five lifetime, run and squat too. Pradoville was a piece of GuySuCo land. Jagdeo see it and he tek a piece. He wasn’t satisfied wid one piece, suh he tek fuh he friends and he family. When he see some still lef, he call in he party members and tell dem to squat too.
Dem boys seh that GuySuCo threaten to go to court, suh Jagdeo call a meeting and de next thing people see a Cabinet decision. When de court tell dem not to try that dem does protest. Some taxi drivers was squatting pun de square of Big Market. Dem buy food and when dem done eat dem throw de food box right wheh dem eat it.
De Mayor who Chase Green decide to chase dem taxi drivers, because she got to clean up de place. Everything is a protest. Dem boys see when some of de taxi drivers run to complain to Jagdeo, but dem ain’t realize that he can’t help dem.
