The Guyana Police Force has issued bulletins for five men who are wanted for questioning in relation to a number of offences including murder.
One of the murder dates back to 2013 while another occurred as recent as last year.
Police say Leon De Yonge is wanted by the police for questioning in relation to the murder of Titus Sutton which occurred on November 08, 2013, at Baracara, Canje Creek, Berbice.
Sutton, of Melanie Damishana, East Coast Demerara, was killed when a man blasted him with a shotgun. A friend of Sutton was also wounded in the incident. Police have no address for De Younge.
A bulletin has also been issued for Rickford La Fleur known as Rickford Orlando, who is wanted for questioning in relation to the murders of Sebastian Clayto and Cleveland Hetymer.
Police say La Fleur is 41 years old and his last known address is listed as Vryheid’s Lust, East Coast Demerara and Smithfield, New Amsterdam, Berbice.
Stafrei Hopkinson Alexander is wanted by the police pending investigations into the discharging of a loaded firearm and also the murder of Linden businesswoman Shevon Gordon. Alexander was held for the murder, but managed to escape from custody in Linden. Alexander is 30 years old and his last known address is Laing Avenue, Georgetown.
Meanwhile, Lennox Patterson and Ravindra Samaroo are wanted by the police for escaping from Lawful Custody at the New Amsterdam Prison on August 12, 2015.
Patterson is 27 years old and he hails from Lot 369 Sisters Village, East Bank Berbice, while the 25 year old Samaroo lived at Timmers Dam, Angoy’s Avenue, New Amsterdam, Berbice.
Anyone with information that may lead to the arrest of these suspects is asked to contact the nearest police station.
