Last year time like now people been walking and encouraging people who been out and vote. Nuff people start going house to house and finding out who register and wheh dem had to go and vote. Some of dem tek dem car and help carry people to vote.
Dem boys use to tek dem drink, but this time last year all dem rum shop was closed. And in any case nuff people woulda get a thumping fuh getting drunk before dem vote.
Last year Kwame was still pompous, but he belly was rumbling, because fuh de fuss time he realize that he didn’t own Ohh Pee. Bharrat already had a taste of de court and Donald was quiet. Rob de Earth done plan to lef de country because he smell de rat before anybody else. Dem boys seh that he was smelling de Rat long before, though, because he did marry to de Rat niece.
Rain didn’t fall like this time suh de place was hot, but people just pick up dem umbrella and walk. Dem boys see nuff of dem tek up position outside dem polling station. Dem stand up there till late in de night.
Last year time like now, Georgetown was stink; dem had garbage all over de place and Jagdeo couldn’t care because wheh he live didn’t have any. All been over de seawall and people never use to look there.

People been to church de day before and dem pray to see de end of corruption. Night like tonight nuff people couldn’t sleep. Dem was waiting fuh a change because all of dem who like de Hap New and de Hay Heff See sing ‘Time for a Change’. That was de same song de Pee Pee Pee sing way back in 1992 when Papa Cheddi was de leader.
Dem get de change but some people now wondering whether dem jus’ get an exchange.
