Sean Harper, 46, yesterday, was fortunate to escape with his life after three masked gunmen pounced on him in Alexander Street, Kitty.
According to sources, Harper had just exited a popular store at the corner of Alexander
and Pike Streets, entered his vehicle and was about to drive off when three masked gunmen surrounded the vehicle, shot the window of the driver’s side and grabbed a bag containing some $1.8M and escaped in a waiting car.
Harper reportedly sustained gunshot wounds to his right leg and lower abdomen. The injured man was rushed to the Georgetown Public Hospital.
Staff at the hospital said that around 16:00 hrs Harper was in the theatre undergoing surgery to remove the bullets from his leg and abdomen. Investigations are ongoing.
