The partly decomposed body of a man of East Indian decent was discovered on the Albion Foreshore, around 8:00 hrs on Monday.
The fishermen who made the discovery were repairing their nets when they noticed the body lying a few feet away.
The police were immediately summoned to the scene.
According to Commander of ‘B’ Division; Assistant Commissioner Ian Amsterdam, the body was identified as Ricknauth Ricky, 52, of the same area.
The man who is said to be an alcoholic was last seen alive by his relatives last Friday around 12:00 hrs. (noon).
A post mortem is expected to be conducted.
