An Anna Regina mother and her two young daughters panicked Saturday morning after they woke up to find an intruder in their home staring at them even as one of the woman’s daughters hollered frantically for “Thief, Thief!”
Neighbors who were alerted by the screams proceeded to surround the house but the masked man jumped through a front window and escaped.
But before the unknown bandit entered the woman’s house at Anna Regina, he had broken into a neighbour’s house. The police were alerted and were making checks for the man.
The bandit carried away money that was secured in a bag in the woman’s house.
Meanwhile, in Henrietta Village, an unoccupied house was broken into. The thief stole a television set. The police were alerted and checks were made but no suspect was held. (Yannason Duncan)
