The Georgetown Softball Cricket League Inc. (GSCL) in collaboration with the National Sports Commission (NSC) will be hosting the annual Independence tournament starting on May 20.
The tournament will be played in the open and masters categories with an entrance of $50,000. The winning team in the open segment will pocket a trophy and $100,000 and the runner up a trophy and $50,000. The first place team in the masters segment will take home a trophy and $150,000 while second place attracts a trophy and $50,000.
Six teams will be accepted in the open division and the eight in the masters while matches will be played at the GNIC and Malteenoes Sports Clubs. Entries will be closed on May 13 while the launching and draw will take place on May 17 at 17:00hrs at GNIC Sports Club.
