Regional Chairman says Carol Joseph is untruthful

Dear Editor,
Please grant me a space in your newspaper to respond to a letter published in the daily newspaper of the Stabroek News and Kaieteur News on the 26 and 27th April 2016, written by Carol Joseph, Region 5 Councillor. Councillor Joseph stated in her letter that the Regional Chairman disrespected the president of the cooperative Republic of Guyana by referring to him as a “Jackass” at a public meeting held on the 5th may, 2016, at Foulis West Coast Berbice.
I will like to make it very clear that I never attend any public meeting at Foulis, West Coast Berbice and secondly i did not utter those words. Those statements by Councillor Joseph are false and totally misleading. I consider myself a respectful individual and there is no need for me to disrespect anyone. This is a blatant attempt by Councillor Joseph to tarnish my character as the Regional Chairman of Region 5 and also it’s my belief that she does not want to allow the Region to move forward.
