The Ministry of Education in a statement issued yesterday, said that it wishes to inform the public that it has no intention of suspending classes or closing schools during the period propagated by certain media agencies.
The Ministry indicated that “parents, guardians, school administrators, and teachers are asked to ignore articles published on page 11 of the Thursday Edition of the Guyana Times Newspaper and by Citizens Report, an online news site. The Ministry’s statement made it clear that “the Ministry of Education did not make any such announcement.”
