The Association of Women Police of the Guyana Police Force (GPF) on Saturday, held its
second hat show and tea party at the Police Officers’ Mess, Eve Leary, Georgetown.
In attendance was Commander of Police ‘A’ Division Mr. Clifton Hicken; Senior Superintendent Maxine Graham and other senior ranks.
The hat show was held under four categories Elegant, Tropical, Comical and there was also an Open category. Each category had four winners who were presented with gift certificates, hampers and gift bags.
There were three judges.
Several ladies of the GPF and guests graced the stage displaying their hats while members of the audience sat and sipped tea.
Entertainment was provided by the Police Force’s String Band there was also a dance done by female Immigration Officers.
