Play in the Guyana Squash Association (GSA) in collaboration with its corporate sponsor Digicel third tournament for 2016, the Ansa Mc Al Lucuzade Handicap Squash Tournament continued at the Georgetown Club Inc
courts with several matches.
Play continued on day two with matches in both categories. Several of the more seasoned players had to pull out all the stops to secure victories.
In the open category defending champion Peter Michael De Groot was on the brink of defeat but held his nerve to defeat Timothy Jonas +10; 15/11,9/15,15/14, while his brother Raphael De Groot -12 also needed three games to secure victory against John Maikoo +7 winning -4/15, 15/13, 15/8.
Ashley Khalil -3 had a dramatic win, beating Avinash Odit +6; 7/15, 15/12,15/14, but Ashley De Groot +3 was not as lucky losing to Satesh Singh +6; 15/13, 14/15,12/15.
In Category A Kamir Khan +10 upset Ethan Jonas -1; 15/13,15/3 and James Mekdeci +8 also upset Madison Fernandes +5 winning 9/15,15/14,15/12.
