Mike’s Pharmacy has offered support to Sunday’s Boyce & Jefford Relay Festival and Family Fun Day scheduled for Police Sports Club Ground, Eve Leary with Proprietor, Lakeram Singh stating that the company is a proud sponsor of sports.
“We continue to support local sports because we have a lot of supplements that are used by the athletes,” Singh said on handing over his contribution. Chairman of Boyce/Jefford Committee, Colin Boyce thanked Singh for the support.
Each relay race carries a total purse of $40,000 with $20,000 for the winner; $12,000 for second and $8,000 for third place. The Football, Cricket and Domino Competitions will also carry cash prizes.
The top clubs and athletes in Guyana will be competing in the Relay Festival that includes events such as (male and females): 4×100, 4x200m 4×400, Sprint Medley Females (100m, 100m, 200m, 400m), Sprint Medley Males (100m, 200m, 400m, 800m), Distance Medley Females (400m, 600m, 600m, 800m), Distance Medley Males (400m, 600m, 600m, 1200m).
