Badree out of IPL, Tabraiz Shamsi in for Royal Challengers
Samuel Badree, the West Indies and Royal Challengers Bangalore legspinner, has been ruled out of IPL 2016. Badree had injured himself during the World T20 final on April 3 and has not played a game since then.

He will be replaced by chinaman bowler Tabraiz Shamsi, who plays for South African franchise Titans. Shamsi, 26, previously played in the Caribbean Premier League (CPL) after catching the eye of the touring West Indies in South Africa in 2014-15.
He enjoyed reasonable success at the CPL, claiming 11 wickets in seven games at an average of 13.27 for St Kitts and Nevis Patriots in 2015, while conceding 6.79 runs an over. In the 2015-16 edition of South Africa’s domestic T20 competition, the Ram Slam T20, he picked up nine wickets in ten games for Titans.
Allan Donald, Royal Challengers’ bowling coach, said he would add variation and “mystery” to the franchise’s attack. “Meet our new mysterious spinner,” Donald was quoted as saying by the Royal Challengers website.
“I’ve seen him bowl for Titans. He is very successful with what he has done in the past couple of years. Look out for a lot of mystery balls in there.” Badree appeared to have hurt his shoulder while diving to take a catch in the World T20 final, when England’s Liam Plunkett sliced the ball towards him at short third man.
Badree hustled to his right and dived, and came up clutching his right shoulder. He left the field soon after, holding on to his wrist possibly to support his shoulder. (ESPNcricinfo)
