A teenager who is accused of stealing $200,000 from another man was placed on $50,000 bail by Chief
Magistrate Ann McLennan, on Tuesday.
Eighteen year old Khemraj Persaud of Lusignan, East Coast, on March 29, last, at Port Kaituma, in the North West District allegedly stole the money from Basdeo Persaud.
He pleaded not guilty.
According to the prosecution the money was not recovered.
The facts of the offence were not stated in the courtroom and prosecutor Dinero Jones told the court that the prosecution’s file is still incomplete.
The matter was later adjourned until May 3rd and transferred to the Matthews Ridge Magistrate’s Court.
