Defending champions Grove Hi Tech and party spoilers Herstelling Raiders FC will both be in action today when the STAG sponsored East Bank Football Association (EBFA) Senior League continues at the Grove Playfield with two matches.
Grove, coming off an upset 0-2 loss to Kuru Kururu Warriors last Sunday, will be hoping for a change in fortunes today when they oppose bottom of the table Diamond United. This would be Diamond’s third game of the season and they will fancy their chances of rubbing salt in the wound of the defending champions.
However, Grove will not want to lie down and allow opponents to run them over thus a renewed and energized team is anticipated to take to the field in their quest for full points.
Herstelling, in their best season yet, already doubling the amount of wins from their first season will come up against the equally exciting Kuru Kururu Warriors in what is anticipated to be an enthralling showdown.
Both sides have played well so far this season and will be seeking to further consolidate. The Warriors are coming off a big win against Grove, while Herstelling are also coming off a huge win victory against Agricola Red Triangle the number two team on the East Bank; they won that match 2-1. Kick off time is 13:30hrs.
October 1st turn off your lights to bring about a change!
