The continued rise and consistency of the Kuru Kururu Warriors Football Club
(KKWFC), based at Kuru Kururu on the Linden Soesdyke Highway has been recognized by the corporate community in the village as well as an individual.
Currently competing in the inaugural Corona Beer sponsored Guyana Beach Football Association, Beach Soccer League which will conclude on Sunday and holding down the second place in the points standings and to date the only team to beat defending champions Grove Hi Tech in the STAG sponsored East Bank Football Association Senior League, their dedicated work has not gone unnoticed.
The New Looks Barber Shop, Comfort Villa and Mr. Eldon Sobers have collectively presented the club with two sets of uniforms to ensure that they present themselves well at all times.
KKWFC President Mr. John Woolford and his executive committee on behalf of the players have expressed sincere gratitude to the donors for supporting the club at a timely juncture in their continued quest to bring glory to the community.
The club noted that the donations will impact their youth development initiative in a positive way in the community of Kuru Kururu and it is their fervent hope that the vision and support of the New Looks Barber Shop, Comfort Villa and Mr. Eldon Sobers is emulated by others in the community as they continue to work towards shaping the lives of the players in a positive way.
KKWFC also noted that previous donations were received from persons outside of the community which makes this donation even more gratifying. Any entity or individual wishing to contribute to the club can do so by calling telephone #s, 675-4923, 668-1422 or 624-6093.
