Spurned Linden man wanted by police for attempted murder
Police have issued a wanted bulletin for a Linden man, 10 days after he attempted to murder his ex-lover

Colwyn Croal, known as ‘Alex Croal’, is wanted by the police for questioning in relation to the shooting of the two persons which occurred on April 3 at Half Mile, Wismar, Linden.
On that day both Hughes, of 138 Blueberry Hill, and the 41-year-old Belle, of 102 Half Mile, Wismar, Linden were rushed to the Linden Hospital Complex, after Croal allegedly opened fire on them.
According to reports, the suspect who previously shared a relationship with Belle, had been observed hiding out in the woman’s yard earlier on the night of the shooting.
Police in a statement had said that their investigations have revealed that Simone Belle had just arrived home in a vehicle driven by Sherwin Hughes, when shots were discharged at them by a man who is reported to have shared a relationship with Belle and which was ended several months ago.
According to reports, as Belle and Hughes pulled up to her house, persons who had seen the suspect lurking in the dark, shouted to the driver, “Drive, don’t stop!”
“So dey drive past and de going up the road past the house but the gunman, run behind the vehicle shooting at dem. So the driver jump out and run, with the gunman in hot pursuit,” another source said.
Police say that Croal is 47 years old and his last known address is Lot 604 Half Mile, Wismar, Linden.
